The next steps in our field trip planning is planning out what sites we want to see and letting the chaperone's exactly what their jobs are.
First is planning where the students want to go. We held a meeting and here is a list of sites in no particular order.
The White House
The Lincoln Memorial
The Washington Monument
The Holocaust Museum
any other places will be picked if time remains in the day.
The Next step is briefing the chaperone's on how to keep our kids safe while in a big city compared to little Lock Haven:
First when we get there we will be taken right to the hotel so we can drop off our luggage and the chaperone's are they only ones caring bags, they will hold onto the children's extra money and any medication.
Second, we will all have walkie talkies so if we do get separated we can be in contact, the school provides these for all big field trips.
Third, all the chaperons have been given a list of 5 students that they are to keep tabs on any time we go anywhere.
We are hoping that these rules will keep everyone safe and allow everyone to have a happy trip!!
