Fundraising for Field Trip to Washington, D.C.

In order to experience a successful learning event, planning must take place. This is where fundraising for an eventful field trip occurs. A class of sixth grade students will be taking a field trip to Washington, D.C., learning the historical significance of certain monuments. By allowing the students to fundraise, costs pertaining to the trip will be greatly reduced. The three fundraisers intended to be sold by the students are: candy, candles, and Sheetz M.T.O tickets.

The candy bar fundraiser, distributed from Hershey's candies, will be put toward the cost of gas money for the buses needed to be used for the trip. The total amount of money fundraised by the students was eleven hundred dollars.

The candle fundraiser, by candle fundraisers USA, will be put toward the cost of hotel fees for the students, chaperones, and teachers for the stay within Washington, D.C. The total amount of money fundraised by the students was eight hundred dollars.

The Sheetz M.T.O. tickets, distributed from the Sheetz corporation, will be specifically used towards the cost of food for the students. The total amount of money raised by the students used toward the cost of food was once again, eight hundred dollars.
